Hey,

so I just upgraded my sisters laptop from Windows Vista and she had a lot of important dates and I didn't back them up so is there anyway I can get them back?

You are in luck. Go to drive c: look for the file windows.old. Everything should be in there, including your programs. Programs, however cannot be used, but you can get any information that you need. You should have used Windows Easy Transfer and backed up. But you know now for the future.
