Firstly sorry for the title, but I have no idea what is actually going on with my laptop.
I recently (a month ago or so) reinstalled the OS as I was passing the laptop on to a family member. I completed the install and the set up etc but could not find my MS Office licence key so the machine has been sat doing nothing for a while. today upon finding my licence keys I decided to boot up and got this:

I tried to boot from my Windows 7 CD and it showed there to be nothing on the HDD. When I tried to do a fresh install I got this:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
