Hi Folks,

After a long time I decided to move from my current laptop and buy a new one for myself. However, I've zeroed the below listed laptop and is little confused on deciding which one to choose as they all are got almost the same configuration.

Thought of taking some smart and intelligent advice and nothing comes to mind except my folks at "sevenforums".

So, need suggestion and advice:

Lenovo Essential G505s (59-380146) Laptop (APU Quad Core A10/ 8GB/ 1TB/ DOS/ 2.5GB Graph) VS

HP Pavilion G6-2312AX Laptop (APU Quad Core A10/ 4GB/ 1TB/ Win8/ 2.5GB Graph) VS

HP Pavilion G6-2313AX Laptop (APU Quad Core A10/ 6GB/ 1TB/ DOS/ 2.5GB Graph)

Thank you!

As you said, the specs on all three machines are pretty close. But I'd choose the Lenovo since it already comes with 8GB RAM. You'd probably spend more money shortly after getting either of the HPs just to upgrade their RAM. Also, HP computers seem to be a lot more bloated with unnecessary "stuff". One of the Forum experts prepared a tutorial on how to do a clean reinstall of an OEM computer with a special "note" at the bottom for HP owners. So that's my opinion and others may disagree. Don't know if this counts as smart or intelligent. :)

The Lenovo has more memory but the other two appear to have better GPU's. If you play games at all I would say go with the best GPU, even if it means giving up 2 gigs of RAM.

Looks to me as if two of your options need you to buy your own operating system so there will be considerable extra expense.

It all depends what you want to do with the laptops. If e.g. you are not a gamer, the graphics capability is neither here nor there.

Thank you for your help. I would say that I got PlayStation for gaming daily gaming purpose but need a laptop with better GPU for Adobe PS (for office presentation), SAP ABAP Programming (for this I need RAM and not GPU) plus running other multiple official client applications so RAM would be a MUST.

Occasional gaming on laptop includes games like Assassins Creed, AOE, RON, Arkham City.

I got licensed version of Windows XP, 7, 8 but intend to also have Linux based OS.

The review of other users of these laptop has rated them say VERY GOOD as the GPU is good on bth i.e., Lenovo & HP. Though I want nVidia, been using it for last 8 years now and I love it but at the same time I can't think of using Intel APU. I had very bad experience with them in the past and present. So, want to stay with AMD as my current laptop and desktop got AMD APUs.

Unfortunately there few laptops which got both AMD's APU & GPU on the same machine. Their configuration is not up to the benchmark.
