Help with driver

i believe this is a driver issue. Pretty much my wife had a laptop running windows 7 home prem. Her computer started to die so i got her a netbook hp 311-1037nr to be exact. (her old laptop was a toshiba A205-S4707). I wanted to cheat so i just took a system imagine of her laptop. Pretty much after i did the image restore (to the netbook) it attempts to load the OS and goes to a BSOD for a millisecond and then reboots. I figure its a driver issue because i have new hardware. What are my options? I thought maybe if i do a system recovery with the driver? when i tried to "load drivers" i get this error "the specified location does not contain information about your hardware" ive extracted it but i done know what to select. What do i do? what are my options to get this running ok. It fails to recover with system repair, it wont boot in safe mode. Thanks

Try using a Windows 7 repair disk. If you don't have one, follow the tutorial linked below.

i can get to that "repair" screen just fine, i just dont know/cant find what to do after that

Try a clean install.

If you have a External HD, you could copy & paste your data.

than copy & paste your data to new HD.

yeah that was my last resort, i was just hoping for an easy solution so i wouldnt have to reinstall all my programs

never tried this myself,but try making a new image of the Toshiba,but uninstall the hardware drivers first .use to have a win98 image[someone else made it for me ] ,with no hardware drivers on it that i used to install on old laptops [with there own win98 key]that i reloaded and sold

No need to uninstall drivers on Win98.
