Help with getting a function on my desktop

Hello, I want to know if this is possible

You know when you put a disc into a computer running mac osx, an Icon comes up on the desktop so you can access the files on the disc straight from the desktop.

I would like my laptop running windows 7 to do this when I put a disc in.

I want to know if this is possible. If it is, some instructions would be appreciated.

I do not know how to make the icon popup when a disk is inserted but
If click on Start Button then click on Computer
Then right click on your CD/DVD player & chose
Create Shortcut it will put a shortcut on the desktop that will open it. You may want to look at this to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/27544-autoplay-enable-disable-autorun.html
