ok so heres my situation..... im doing a external GPU build, and im stuck at the drivers part. heres whats going on so far. i have it fully working 100% but it is lagging in all games and this lag is due to a driver conflict. the conflict is between my internal ATI driver and my external ATI driver. having 2 different drivers installed to get both cards to work properly is causing the conflict. but i NEED a ATI driver installed on my internal GPU for the external to even work at all. so the solution to this is that i need a single unified driver to be installed for both my internal and external driver. this way there is only 1 driver running and no longer causing conflict with my internal/external.
my question is this:
how would i go about editing or modding an ATI driver (.inf file) to accept my internal gpu and install.
so, my internal GPU is a ATI mobility radeon 540v (4500 series) and my external is ATI Radeon 6770 (6000 series)
now i know that my internal is not meant for the 6770 driver, however as long as it works, and i can still watch youtube vids etc, im fine with that. but i need to mod the latest 6770 driver to allow to install to my internal GPU too.
i know this has been done, spacifically for this reason, however the link to the driver is no longer existent ans i cant find it online.
my second question:
which driver would be best to use? the latest off of AMD website? regular? beta? or the driver offered through my GPU's manufacture?

thats the site im working from, it tells you how to do it through nvidia, but not ATI. also it says something about adding in my hardware IDS for my internal GPU in the (.inf) file?
