please someone help me, i'm getting nowhere with this.. i have my PC plugged into a new Samsung LED 6300.. and i see refresh lines on the TV... you know when you watch a tv show and in the background is a computer and you see the refresh lines going up and down it.. its very annoying. hardly noticable but when its there you cant take your eyes off of it...

im trying to use the catalyst control center to get this fixed but its not helping, the tv has a 120hz refresh rate, but i know only 60 can go in right? ... the card connects DVI to hdmi, and ive tried 2 different dvi to hdmi cords no difference, ive tried putting the tv in 16:9 and screen fit, ive made sure the resolution is 1920x1080p. nothing is working, im just confused... i dont know why it would do this

If you don't want to look for drivers for yourself, try this website: How-To Make Windows 7 Automatically Find New Device Drivers
It will show you how to download drivers automatically. PCs and TVs are very different, I'm pretty sure you need to have the TV compatable with computers.

well i always go to device manager to update drivers anyway, this tv is listed as a generic pnp monitor, but the driver is from microsoft 2006... wich is wierd cause the tv model is new, and when i click search net for updates, it says the latest drivers are updated, which is why i wasnt sure if there was a special manual driver i needed to install..

i'm convinced the problem is my samsung led is being recognized as a generic pnp monitor, when it shouldnt be... ijust downloaded the newest ATI display drivers and the problem still persists, and its still labeled as generic pnp

ok update, i just went to samsungs site to update the tv. found the right model no un40c6300sfxza, put the update on a flash and tried up update, but the tv said no avail update, so im guessing my firmware is up to date, even tho the driver on the 'generic pnp' monitor is from 2006....

alright, go back to that site and follow it again, but do oposite what they tell you (So microsoft doesn't automatically search for drivers, never). Then uninstall what microsoft gave you and install the right one from the website that matches what your tv is. If that doesn't work, you've ruled out drivers being an issue. Are there any settings on the TV, such as a computer setting or any software on your computer that came with the TV besides drivers?

here's the thing, tv works perfectly with ps3... no issues at all, no large pixel lines like im experiencing, no refresh line issues. everything is amazing, so i know its with my computer being connected to it.. it must be either video card, dvi to hdmi connection, or drivers.. i feel like its because its recognized as generic pnp monitor... now samsungs website gives no drivers for the TV only a tv firmware update, wich the tv is updated. i have removed the drivers, and reinstalled searching automatically.. as in i have right clicked generic pnp monitor, uninstalled, reinstalled, and whatever it installs with its recognizing as most up to date, even though its 2006.... ive scanned for hardware changes as well. ive updated my video drivers with ATI with the most up to date.. but i HAVENT used the new 'beta' drivers that ATI has, here is the site, i went to individual and downloaded the display driver, should i have? ATI Radeon

i'm just beyond floored on this one, i just dont get it, ive gone through the catalyst control center as well, and tried everything... under video where they have the monitor and hdtv option, i select 1080p and the best refresh rate is 60, but its recognizing my monitor @ 75hz... even though the tv is 120 lol... oh and no setting on the TV changes things either. automotion plus and lcd plus off on, doesnt matter... must must must be a driver, and for all my searching im coming up empty....

i think its gotta be my card then.... dvi to hdmi on my HD radeon 4850 is not cooperating with this TV... dont really wana upgrade my card right now though unless its a last option... or im just not loookin in the right place for drivers....

rawr help :(

It's not the card(unless faulty) because they can still rock it with no problems. Dvi to hdmi is also not a problem.

Can you disconnect your other monitor and try with just the Samsung?

I would look at the card too. I may be wrong but I think that card may be pretty old.

would that mean that the card wont recognize the tv.. or that there isnt a driver out ther for this situation?

I meant I wasn't familiar with the card, and RST mentioned that the card should be good (unless faulty). There should be a driver on its website and it shouldn't be hard to get. Try Ivan's option right now to see if something my be interfering with your monitor. Move any electrical component that isn't part of your computer further away from your monitor, even fans and try even moving speakers (If they aren't specifically computer speakers, meaning made for computers with protective feilds that lower interferance with the monitor). Move your computer tower away from the monitor as well, to cable's length. It may be speakers if they aren't the right ones. Move every electrical item away so it can rule out interference
