Help with MPC....

So I downloaded Media Player Classic (my favorit player when i use to use XP) but i noticed that it only plays like half of what it normally plays when i use it on XP. I dont know much about computer but someone said download codecs or somthing? which ones do i need?

Do you mean half volume, half the file types, half of what?

Like it wont play some mkv, avi, wmv, etc stuff that it normally played.

K Lite codec pack is what I use as it actually bundles MPC with it.
