I have a Desktop computer with Windows 7 (32 bit) and a laptop with Windows 7 (64 bit). I'm trying to set up a network printer, so I can print from my laptop using my desktop computeer printer. I've set up my wireless computer which uses Windows Xp just fine, and can print from that computer. But when I try to add a network printer on my laptop, as it's finishing installation, an error message pops up saying "cannot connect to printer" error code 0x0000000d. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Is it possible to set up a 64 bit with a 32 bit computer?

That discussion was dated 2007, and the information was over my head. I just want to know if a 64 bit laptop can print through a 32 bit desktop computer. (both windows 7) Also, where can I get a 64 bit driver for a kodak 5100 AiO printer. The kodak website wants me to download 250 MB of software that I don't want, I just want the driver. TIA

Same Problem

I am having the same problem with my Kodak ESP-3. I have 64 bit on my wireless laptop and 32 bit on the desktop to which the printer is wired. It gets almost through the connecting > finishing the installation... > then get the could not connect to printer error message.

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Ultimate
on the 32bit machine where the printer is installed go to devices and printers ,
right click on your printer icon then select printer properties, now choose the advanced tab & click on the printer processor.. button. You will see two choices of printer processor, my default was kodak easyshare ..i changed it to winprint , then picked default datatype RAW

..the printer connected to the 32bit pc can now be added on the network of the 64bit OS with no additional drivers required & will print ok

hope this helps :)

Amanda,
Thank you a thousand times. I have been trying to solve 0x0000000d for months with no luck. I tried everything from driver updates to reg changes with command prompt per Microsoft. your post of changing the print processor to win-print has worked. I can print wireless from my laptop again thanks to you.
Thanks again,
Don
