Help with Overclocking

Hey guys,

I was trying to overclock my laptop's CPU to about 2.1GHz. I followed the instructions for overclocking the Yonah chip (Centrino Duo T2350, check my specs). I start up ClockGen and Go to PLL Setup. I choose the right PLL (at least what I was told it was) and choose "read clocks." My entire screen freezes up and just starts displaying random colors in a random pattern. Nothing will work until I unplug my laptop (I don't use the battery).

What is going on here and how to I overclock this?

I didn't think it was a very wise thing to do in the first place for a laptop, don't they already get very warm, if I were you I would forget about it and invest in a decent Desktop Computer that you will be able to Overclock with relative ease.

I'm not a computer expert or guru, but it sounds like when you were overclocking it, it got too hot and probably fried your graphics.

As Grim said, its not wise to overclock laptops as they already have a hard time staying cool without the extra work of overclocking.

If your computer is under warranty and you try to have them take it in for repairs, I wouldn't mention the overclocking part that will void your warranty.

It was climbing to about 120 Farenheit at idle, 170 while playing Half-Life.
