I may be wrong. I had not paid close attention and didn't realize that you have six hard drives.

I would suggest a 750w or better branded quality PSU. Your graphics card alone requires a 500w minimum add to that all your hard drives. Cpu and opticale drives, not to mention your heatsink fan and additional fans.
Here's a link to a program that will help you get a general idea of what power supply you'll need, This is by no means definitive but you should always get more than required.
Personally I consider the power supply as a very important core piece of hardware not to be skimped on. Hope this will help. Fabe http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp

DamDam remember more devices the more power you're going to need you have 6 hdd well hot diggity you're going to need more power that is some major business you got there i think a 750 or 850 watt would be enough could be wrong but i would go that high since you are running more then 2 hdd and also if your running a high end cpu and vidcard such as Nvidia product by all means GET MORE POWER

I'd get the 850w Corsair, or if money was an issue, the 750w Antec. I see no gain the 750w Corsair would give you over the other two. If you can afford it, definitely get a 850w power supply, as it would be more likely to work well.

In the interim - have you made sure you've distributed the devices over the rails evenly?

It has four 12v rails, but each only has a rating of 18amps. Overloading a particular rail will give you issues.

An 850W isn't necessary for the devices you have listed, but I'd still opt for one in case you wish to upgrade your GPU / start overclocking etc down the track.

Wattage isn't the most important number to consider however. A good quality PSU with a high AMPS is what you should be looking for.

That TX 850W you linked to fit's the bill perfectly. The only downside is that it's not modular.

not flaMING you but do you really need 6 tb? of storage,

Some people do - Full HD rips take up a lot of space ;)

Are you serious?

I checked the specs on the WD 1GB Caviar Black drive. 8.4W each during read/write operations. that's 50.4W for six, at maximum.

I think that the Xigmatech unit would have plenty of margin even if the CPU is seriously overclocked, as long as "damdam" doesn't upgrade to a 300W graphics card (GTX480, Radeon HD3970).

I see that he (/she/it) is going with 6GB of RAM, which is more like it.
