Hi, I'm new to Windows 7. I bought a new computer that came with it. I was wanted to know, someone thing came up in the lower right that said something about the color changing, and now my task bar is no longer see through. Nor can I see a visual representation of what I want to choose when I hover over the icons in my task bar. Such as if I had multiple IE open, it would show me each page so I could choose which one I wanted. How can I fix this, thanks.

Welcome

I think what you want is to right click on task bar, left side of bar. Then properties, then check box for aero peek. If I misunderstood your question, just repost and I will help.

hey, thanks for the help. I did that and that option is check, but it is transparent and I can't turn it on nor turn it off. That is strange I think.

With aero peek the task bar stays transparent. If you have many windows open you can see all of them, if you put the mouse pointer over them, on the taskbar, and if you put the pointer in the lower right by the clock, Windows will disappear and you can see the desktop. It stays that way unless you turn if off, by unchecking

Aparently it also turns it self off when it doesn't feel like working anymore, and also doesn't give you the ability to turn it back on since I can not click on the check mark because it will not let me change it for some odd reason.

I've seen this happen before and every time it was a video driver issue. Make sure you're actually using a Windows 7/Vista driver for your specific hardware instead of the standard MS driver.
