help with theme?

hi guys i am having trouble getting this theme to work it's my first time using custom themes and i need some help the theme is called "windows 7 basic black theme"

i do what it says to do but it wont let me take control of the a particular file i think its the areo file i have to take ownership then swap it i take ownership but it wont let me replace the file could someone please try to use the theme on there computer and see if they can get it to work?

A thought. Is the file you have to Take Ownership of, being used as your current theme. If so swap out to another one temporarily while you do the change.

You need to patch your system files: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/28377-theme-how-apply-custom-themes.html

or, if you don't want to change system files: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/34579-enabling-custom-themes-windows-7-a.html

Then take ownership of the aero.msstyles found in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero

then replace it with the one found in the zip: Aero folder Aero.msstyles
