help with Word crashes

I am having trouble with my Microsoft Office 2007, when I try to open a Word document, most of the time it will fail, message pops up saying "apps crash" close program or look online for a resolution and then close.
How do I get this problem solved? I have gone to Control Panel and tried to repair the Microsoft Office 2007, it still has the same problem.

sorry, to sound a bit dim, but are you right-clicking a file, and selecting "Open",
or trying to open it from within MSWord itself?

Word apps crashing

Bug Meister, I am double clicking on the Word icon or Word document.
I also went to Control Panel, MS Office Professional Plus 2007, clicked on change, repair. I got the following message: MS Office Professional Plus 2007 configuration did not complete successfully. Error 2203. An internal error has occurred."
I thought this might fix my problem, but it did not.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I might suggest a full reinstall of Office.

do the repair again, see if that works....

Even though those are for different versions of Office, they more than likely still apply.

Do you have the MSOffice2007 installation disk(s) - mine's the Standard version..?

one solution is to insert the DVD and running the set-up prog direct from the DVD, rather that allowing it to autorun..

it should offer you the option to repair..
