Solved Help!!!

Ok , my laptop had a virus and it uses windows 7. I deleted the virus and my laptop rebooted. Now everytime I use a program such as mozilla or skype I have to select a file to use the program with. Also when I want to sign out of something like msn or skype it says " program files(86x) Unspecified erroe" Then when I check my acer file it says there are two programs

Program file 1 - Program file
Program file 2 - Program files (86x)

How do I return everything back to normal ?

By the way my laptop is an acer aspire 5534.

Hello B.Payne, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if downloading and merging the exe and lnk (LNK) options in the tutorial below may be able to help. They restore the default associations for them.

No problem mate. If you are able to follow along the steps at the link above, you'll do fine.

You would only be downloading exe and lnk (LNK).
