What windows 7 is best for my PC and will it work good?

in left-hand column, under Your Profile, Edit System Spec |


Use Speccy - System Information - Free Download
and/or SIW to gather info for filling in the blanks.

Do me a favor and add the word laptop or desktop to the “system manufacturer” block.

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader, Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.

I would upgrade your ram first.

Windows 7 hardware requirements:

Windows 7 system requirements - Microsoft Windows

Windows 7 starter may run better with limited hardware, but it's not available at retail. It is only sold pre-installed on small notebooks.

With 512MB of RAM, you will not be happy with any higher level windows7. Unless you update your RAM to at least 2GB, I would go with the Starter edition. You also seem to have a single core P4 which is so, so for /7.

You can run Win7 on a Pentium 4 with a gig of RAM but I would try for 2 gigs.

Google the exact computer model + Memory Upgrade and study the results carefully.

Run the Crucial Upgrade advisor to confirm the RAM specs.
