Thanks for input Stormy,
I was wondering if CrossfireX would be worth it to set up with these two and had heard sometimes its less good (lol) with Crossfire. I am still a little irked that the site said it had it and it doesn't but mistakes are made it is understood.

The comp is for gaming, so video would be going out from card. I have a DVI cable I can try with his comp. He has a 22" Monitor that has HDMI, but it also has DVI and VGA. The sound part isn't to much of a worry, he can still put sound to it through audio input cable. I will check to see where the Kernal 41 error is coming from.

Just use DVI then. Also had a look at the manual for that motherboard and for whatever reason Asus has left out the option for disbaling/enabling the onboard video,



so other thn making sure it is set with GFX0 as the primary adapter I can't see how to disable it completely (unlike mine that does have the option). Seeing as it doesn't appear that it can be disabled it would be a good idea to see how much if any ram the onboard is using. This will help to see,

if it using ram about the best you can do is minimize how much it uses by setting it to 32 MB in the bios.

In GPUz, only the vidcard was shown. AFAIK.... I will look again. Everything else is running fine. I checked in the BIOS as well first thing and didn't find anything for the IGP for disabling. I think it is set to 32....I think It might still be possible to disable, I just dont know how ...
