One of my data HDDs shows up in Device Manager but not in My Computer. I may have moved it to a different SATA port. What should I do?

Hi Badddog,
Thanks for replying.
No it does not show up in Disc Management. It showed up yesterday, before I installed a new SSD with Win7Pro64. I still have the old HDD with Win7Pro32 on it, which is where it has gone missing in My Computer. I have a third HHD that shows up on both systems. I may have moved the missing drive to a different SATA port for the installation of the new SSD.

Does it have a letter on the partition and if so, what is it? Can you post a screen shot of your Disc Management.

Also post a screen print of Device Manager where you see the HDD that you don't see in Disk Management.

After you made the hardware changes, did you do a BIOS Reset or Save Changes in BIOS ?

I fixed it

Thank you everyone for your replies. I figured it out. The missing HHD was listed as a Foreign Drive. I added it as instructed. Thank you again!

I'm just curious clyde.
In you first post you asked what should I do.

Code:
One of my data HDDs shows up in Device Manager but not in My Computer. I may have moved it to a different SATA port. What should I do?
You were asked several times to complete this tutorial so these good members could see how to help you. You never completed the request. WHY?

Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image

If would be nice to see the image to make sure things are as they should be.
