I have no idea where this fits in, between graphics card and drivers. I have the same old laptop, and all of a sudden when I hibernate and return the next day from hibernation. After the BIOS screen, and the bootscreen. Lots of vertical coloured lines come up for a few seconds, then it turns black. I thought this wouldnt allow my hibernate to work so I held down my POWER button and switched it off completely. On boot I deleted restoration data and it ran CHKDSK. I thought this would fix the problem, but it didn't. The problem only applies when I hibernate, so when I am in SLEEP or I had shut down the system no problem occurs. I had recently installed UltraVNC (with the drivers installed in compatibility mode. Videohook.dll or something like that.)

I tried hibernating again, the same thing came up. I was about to switch it off, it turned out the black screen was the loading screen. Everything worked correctly after returning from hibernate. Just the colours keep showing up. I want to eliminate this problem. I will upload the video later.
