Hidden Folders

I have just installed Win 7 Home Premium on my 8GB SSD Aspire One. Runs OK after using Flash Fire but it is very low on Free Space. In an effort to try to improve this I have mistakenly hidden my Owner Folder under C:\Users.
In attempting to restore the previous folder I now have C:\Users\Users with the restored Owner folder there. I cannot copy the Owner Folder back to the default User folder as I am told it is in use and the copy cannot proceed.
Is there a way to restore the structure to how it was before I messed things up? Note I had not created any restore point.

A point of Interest, my User folder is in excess of 300MB and my Owner Folder is some 22MB but they and associated sub folders are empty. Is this normal?

Installing Win 7 onto an SSD is a much much more time consuming process than an install to a normal hard disc, so I want to avoid that if I can. Yes and I know I should have made a restore point before messing but hind sight is wonderful.

Many thanks for any help and this is a very useful forum, glad I found it.

First, "Welcome To The Seven Forums"
You say you installed Win 7 to an 8 Gig SSD, hmmmmm! I use an 80 Gig SSD, and after installing Win 7 it took up about 19 Gigs of the SSD.

Been trying to see if I could create the same problem you are having, but for some reason cannot. So it would appear I have failed to help you, truly sorry.

You might try looking in the Tutorial Section to see if this problem has a tutorial on how to fix this situation. :)

Many thanks for the interest.
For simplicity of my post I did omit to say I originally tried the full installation and I was able to run it after a fashion but it was incredibly slow (I think about 9MB spare space) I then used Vlite on the ISO and deleted all the Languges and things I did not need (hopefully nothing important) and this was initially rather slow but after installing Flash Fire it was as good as the full XP I had beforeand very usable for my needs.
My version leaves me with 1GB of spare space and I was worried this would soon disappear once I started updating and putting some virus protection on it.

Many thanks again.

Hi Lee

Many thanks for your tip to look at Tutorials, I had not noticed it. There is one by Brink that I have used to fix my problem and all is back to normal now.

So I also say thanks to Brink.

Just made a restore point, once bitten twice shy.

:D

Many thanks.
