I'm not quite sure I understand what exactly your problem is... Are you saying you downloaded the files but you can't find them, even though you can see that they're taking up disk space...? If so, just use Windows' search function (:

I would open up C: and start at the first folder and work your way til you find it. It`s gotta be in there somewhere.

I am always telling people, save it to your desktop, scan it, then put it where you want. Never fails.

Just to recap, if you downloaded any files and didn't choose Save As and point the download to the folder you named New Folder, the download should default to Computer>Downloads.

Where is your "new folder"? What drive/partition is it on? If you right click it and select properties what does it contain what's its size and location.

Man you guys start drinkin early over there !! If he knew the answer I don`t think he`d be asking !!!

Try this, if you still can`t find it, download it again. This time wait to see where it will go before you just go and click save.

I much prefer to download everything to the default Downloads folder (you can even set this to display, either as a link or a cascading menu, on the right-hand panel of the Start Menu - see: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/265-start-menu-customize.html) as it is then relatively easy to find things (and move them to wherever you want), even when the folder is getting full (as mine is) since you know that that is the only place you need to look. Plus, it is easy enough to set up a custom scan of that folder should you wish to check for malware in anything you download (although I recommend that you do so explicitly on each new download, unless you trust its source).

What Dwarf suggests makes sense.

Just delete the folder you named New Folder and let all your downloads default to the Downloads folder.

Download the file again to the Downloads folder. At least you'll know where it is then.
