I recently read how to do this and now I cannot find the information.

In my Explorer side-bar "folder tree", besides the various storage drives/letters, there are always several other drives shown that would be better to be hidden; thinks such as "System", "Factory Restore", etc.

How do I make these types of drive not be listed in the folder tree ?

I investigated "Properties" and could not find anything in there that would do the trick, or else it wasn't obvious to me.

Thanks for reading.

Okay, wondering...., if I follow the instructions to remove the drive letter in Disc Management --- right-click > change path whatever > Remove > Okay ---, will system restore still be able to find itself in the event of such an emergency ?

I did remove the miscellaneous drive letters on one machine, then right-clicked again to see if there was an option to restore the letter to the default configuration and it just says to provide a path; five minutes after I have done this, I cannot remember exactly what the letters were.

Thanks for reading.

System Restore should be on the "C" partition with Windows 7.
So Windows 7 shouldn't have a problem finding Restore Points if things are set proper.

System Reserve Partition should be on the same drive as Windows 7 and does not need a drive letter.

Do not confuse a drive that has a number with a partition that has a letter.
