High Capacity MP3 Players Dead?

I've read the Zune 80gb and 120gb are discontinued, as the only ones left are ones that are still on the shelf or in stock by some retailers and they dont plan to make any new ones. And with the iPod Classic being only 1 size, 160gb it makes me wonder why they dont have more models.

Zune 80gb is $199
Zune 120gb is $229
iPod Classic (160gb) is $249

The prices for them are very high, so I can see why they arent too popular but the iPod Classic only costs $50 more for double the GB of the Zune 80. I really wish Apple would offer another model of the Classic. They are the only 2 MP3 players on the market that have a lot of storage.

I understand the companies want to get away from HDDs and use Flash memory, but has everybody's music collection gotten smaller over the years?

Nope, just the opposite.

The thing is, syncing and such is so much easier (I say this, having no music at all) that 32gb of music can easily be changed around at any time you want, making high capacity less necessary.
