High Definition Audio Controller [NoDB]

so i installed 7 and my sound isnt working, cant for the life of me find a codec or driver or anything.

i did an everest report on my comp and it showed this
" Multimedia:
Audio Adapter High Definition Audio Controller [NoDB]
Audio Adapter Multimedia Audio Controller [NoDB]"


apparently the name of the card is High definition audio controller??

anyone else have a similar problem/know what to do?

All I can suggest is go to the site of the manufacturer of your audio device and download the drivers from there.

ya the problem is the sound card was purchased ages ago and i dont even know who the manufacturer is

Use generic Realtek AC 97 drivers like I did to eliminate the problem, THEN load your sound card drivers next..worked a treat for me with my old Barracuda AC1 gaming card...
