High main disk drive activity

Since this evening my main hard drive has 100% disk activity, and little to no programs are even turned on, even on idle its max usage. Ive tried restarting the PC several times, but it didnt help, the drive has still 100% disk activity. The HDD light keeps flickering and i can hear the disk working, but im not copying anything or doing anything with the system. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Can you see anything if you open a Resource Monitor and switch to Disk tab. Sort by Read then Write and see if you can find anything.

Yes, i checked and almost everything is used by system. And just a few minutes ago the disk activity is back to normal, so that means for like 2 hours its been 100%, really weird.
