High ping in games

I play League of Legends and don't get me wrong, I have tried everything to fix my high ping in that game. I get around 145 avg and my brother in the room next to me gets 80! We both use the same ethernet connection, so I'm thinking it's something on my windows 7 computer. Can you guys help me?

High ping could be a result of many things. Try running a AntiVirus & Malvare scan. Also, your brothers internet connection could have more bandwitdh allocation.
Windows 7 should have nothing to do with this. You could also try to update your drivers.
