Solved High Pitch Sound

I'm getting a high pitch sound coming through my Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headsets. The sound does lower as I lower the main volume, but then I can't hear anything else. Currently, I'm plugged into the rear USB ports and I tried switching to different USBs, but nothing changes.

Hello ecko I suppose you have the latest drivers for all that gear? This sounds (no pun) like it may be due to either the headset are faulty or you may be picking up some radio frequency interference.

If you have a multimeter can you check the resistance of ground pin of the mains lead to the ground on the board? (there should be none).

Then it might be wise having a look with a very bright light into the USB ports and check out the USB plug contacts, because the contacts can be damaged really quite easily.
