High realism racing games (Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport, etc)

Do you play any of those? I got Forza Motorsport 4 a while ago used and its awesome. Got a Veyron SS to over 1400 HP, with a 0 to 100 in less than 5 seconds and top speed of over 260 mph.

Also, I think it'd be cool to make a SevenForums logo as a decal design in it. So, I might do that for fun.

which would you recommend for pc? forza is for xbox only(correct me if i am wrong), i played it in a hotel while skiing and i loved it, now i want to get it for pc

For me the Forza series has dominated since the the first version. I have owned every version of this game, and the game has gotten progressively better. With that said, I do hate the fact you cannot sell gift cars for more then $100.00 unless you modify, paint and sell them in marketplace.

I have Dirt 3 very good detail and realism but Need for Speed the run Had my heart pumping gritting my teeth trying to beat the clock and get better pole positions game was intense i recomend it NFSTR

I don't know whether you played Dirt 2 but DiRT 2 felt, if you don't mind me saying, more like a kid's game with all the rally drivers cheering you on. DiRT 3 is more laid back, more high class in a sense. I like the way it looks, it feels completely modern. In DiRT 2 you bought your cars, then you unlocked different liveries, horns, and other accessories. In DiRT 3 however, you can't buy a single car, and you simply race for whichever team you choose. It's like Codemasters took some parts of GRiD such as racing for teams, the lack of interaction with famous drivers, and the racing line, then put them into DiRT 2 to make DiRT 3.
I really enjoyed myself playing it on max settings and the game look awesome, and I don't think I'll be done with the game for a long time......

+1, got both these games, enjoyed NFS the run and still enjoy the occasional online race on Dirt 3. Both have great graphics and are fun to play.

I am looking forward to Grid 2, which is set for release sometime next year, rumor has it summer. I enjoyed the first one immensely.

I wish they would release a Forza or something similar for the PC as I loved Forza 3 but sold my xbox a long time back as I felt the graphics were no longer good enough.

I use an Xbox controller on my PC which makes driving games much more enjoyable.

WAs actually thinking about picking up GT5 for my PS3. Not a huge race fan, but they are fun from time to time. Or is there a better option for the PC? No Xbox here.

Go with Pc Racing games i have played were pretty Intense Graphics wise and game play

Honestly I have to say if you have to ask... no.
It's worth it for those who are hardcore GT fans and they know it.The game is very boring and very much the same as the previous GT games. just a mindless, wall-riding grind to earn money and now "xp" .

While on PC , shift 2 is about the best if you add some physics mods... it looks way better than forza and gt5 where tracks can be visually compared and handling is given a boost by the mod community...
dirt 3 is ok but to doesnt hold your attention as well as it should have...
dirt 2 drives better but looks dated and the dx11 is just an afterthought...
Blur is the most fun multiplayer racing game I have ever played.
My favorites in latest PC gamings are Shift 2 , Blur , Split Second , NFS:Hot Pursuit , and Dirt 2 .
