Here's my problem:

I recently reinstalled Windows on my office computer and I gave it a new name.

When I try to set up a Homegroup, it tells me to get the password from the "old name" computer, which obviously no longer exists. I can't remember the password either.

How do I start again?

At this point it's usually best to leave the old Homegroup from all other machines in the network then create a new Homegroup, then rejoin the new Homegroup from all other machines using the new password that was generated when you set up the new Homegroup. :)

Thanks. I thought I had left the Homegroup on all computers, but I forgot the HTPC - sorted now.
