Desktop:

Windows 7 Pro 64

GA-MA790GPT-UD3H with built in LAN ChipsetRealtek 8111C

Laptop:
Windows 7 Enterprise 32
HP elitebook 6930p with intel wifi link 5300 AGN

Router:
Westell A90-750015-07

I've tried connecting the laptop directly to the router and wirelessly and the highest transfer of files between PCs I can get is 1.2MB/sec. I've disabled the RCD, disabled autotuning, changed duplex settings a couple times, updated drivers. Nothing has changed my speeds, any thoughts? What other information will you need to help me?

I should mention when at school they have N routers and don't want to change settings that will affect performance there.
