Hello all,

I am having troubles with my homegroup - I can see all the folders correctly; however on a number of them I cannot see the files inside the folders and have to manually select all the files within the folder and select Sharing - Homegroup - Read/Write.

It appears that I cannot force the sharing status to filter down from the root folder - is this so or is there any other way I can get my rather large music collection properly sharing?

How many computers do you have and are they all Windows 7? Any that have earlier Windows operating systems cannot join the Homegroup.

2 computers - one W7 Pro (64bit) and the other W7 Home Premium (64bit).

It is odd - one folder I can see 1 file in it (a wma file) but none of the mp3 files contained therein.

They are both joined to the homegroup and if I manually add the mp3 files (right click and select security, homegroup, read/write) I can then see them from both machines. Given that the folders are organised artist/album I don't fancy doing that for the entire library.

Try doing it from the Library, the sharing thing at the root...I had no problems doing this myself...
