I just recently created a home group for my brother and I. We both were able to join it. The problem is he is able to access my files, but I can't access his files. I can see them (Documents, Pictures, etc.) but I double click on them and nothing happens. Please help me, I'd appreciate it.

This is most likely the permissions settings. It's important to point out that just about any type of A/V software "anti virus" or third party firewalls can cause this to happen also. If the permissions settings don't work then you should uninstall your A/V software or configure your A/V to work with Homegroups which can be just about impossible sometimes.

The sharing permissions for Homegroups is near the bottom in the link below. On your brothers computer you basically just highlight one or all of the Homegroup folders and then click the "share with" tab then choose "Homegroups read/write" You can also add "Everyone" to the Homegroup sharing list.
