Homegroup icons screwed up!

the folder icons in my homegroup (when I'm accessing shared folders on my media pc) have become corrupted after I installed some stupid skinning software, i've even tried a system restore to a point long before the dam thing was installed and it still hasn't sorted the problem, does anyone know how I can get the icons back to normal? screen dump:

driving me insane, i really don't want to have to install windows just to fix this :cry:

I can't say this is guaranteed to work with Windows 7 as the last time I did this was with XP but it's worth a shot:

Control Panel > Personalization > Window Color and Appearance > Advanced Appearance Settings...

Turn up the size by one and apply, turn down the size by one and apply.

Also try CTRL + [scroll wheel up/down] to adjust the size and see if they re-appear or not.

Let me know if that works.

unfortunately not :( i tried iconpackager and did a restore of all default windows icons using that but that has just replaced the icons with generic network folder ones:

The dam skinning software has reallt screwed somthing up somwhere and overwritten things it shouldn't have! hacked off :mad: for everyone's info the software in question is here:
