Homegroup problems

i have just installed windows 7 on 2 laptops and want them to connect to the homegroup i started on my PC when i got it last december(ish) i can get laptop1 and laptop2 documents etc... on the PC but i can not do it the other way.

is there something i am doing wrong or do i need to cancel and remake a new homegroup

It might help if you leave the Homegroup and start over again.
