First of all: yes, I'm fully aware that the drivers for the Apple magic mouse are not official.
I've installed the extracted copy of the drivers from the imac update which has the Magic mouse working fine with left-right click and vertical scrolling working.
problem is, only Google Chrome and some preferences and whatnot seem to recognize the horizontal scrolling, but not Live Mail.
I've tried installing the Intellipoint software and setting it as the Sidewinder x8 with no change and even the "Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000" because it is a Bluetooth mouse also (I didn't find out until now - I just saw the included dongle and never looked at it again, but if I had known it was Bluetooth I would have bought that instead) and horizontal scrolling still doesn't work consistently.
