Hi guys, I'm new to the forums...

So now about 3-4 days I've been experiencing this kind of lag, also on online games but not ping. It's all about FPS. I've tried lowing every setting on every game, still lags every minute, and yes I'm frustrated, SO FRUSTRATED! The game I used to test if it is fixed is Guitar Hero III, 800 x 600 Res. and everything low, lag striked, but it only lags for a bit sometimes.

SPECS:

Intel Core 2 Quad @2.50GHz
Intel DG41TY Motherboard
4gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I've got my dad to help me fix this... Still didn't work.. So PLEASE reply ASAP, I can't enjoy my life with LAG.

Hello KAiRUFiRE.

I don't if this thread is still active but I noticed it wasn't marked as solved and I figured I might be able to help.

Anyways since you mentioned that your ping was not the problem it is most likely that your actual GPU is causing the issue since it only happens when you play games. First off I would check the temperature of the GPU, some programs like MSI Afterburner or Real Temp can help you accomplish this. If your GPU is running hot then see if you can adjust the fan speed faster to allow better air flow and cooling (the programs mentioned above can help you do this as well).

Also I would take the graphics card out the of the computer just to physically check it for damage. Sometimes if you move you computer a lot or have pets and don't clean your computer, components can get damaged without you even noticing. This happened to me about 4 years ago. My computer just started lagging and freezing when I would play any games. I noticed my GPU was running really hot so I took it out and realized that pet hair had clogged the fan and the GPU overheated causing part of the plastic fan to actually melt. Needless to say the GPU was shot and I had to buy a new one.

I hope this helped you in some way. Please let us know how it goes and what your findings are.

I noticed that back these days I was using the PC off no limits... I've just came back from our mini-vacation, and then tried playing again, no lags! Figured out that it was only my PC usage and I need to rest it for awhile... THANKS for all your efforts, I'd really appreciate it, I'm sorry if I didn't reply back or wasting your efforts :):):)

Restarting the PC also fixes stuff. Try restarting the PC every 3-5 hours after gaming.

KAiRUFiRE I assumed your demanding ASAP meant time was very critical, life or death. Then you go on vacation. Does that mean that time and death are no longer a problem with your computer?
