Hotfix or MS Fixit for IE?

I sure thought I saw something recently about a fix of some sort for better protection of IE9 & IE10 if we don't want to go with FF, Chrome, or Opera, now can't find it. I'm quite sure it had a KB#.
Did I dream it or is it just my senility?

Thanks maxie. I tried reading the link but am on overload of reading so much already today that I'll do it fresh in morning. How did you find it? I searched the forum as best I knew how but no luck. I'm also wondering how many posters of Seven Forum have applied the fix?

I do not use IE so have no idea how many Members here have used it .. A quick Google search soon found what i was looking for ..

One of the recommendations is to have a dedicated antimalware utility,
Which I use Malwarebytes Pro so that certainly qualifies and provides real time protection from malware and other threats,
If you have it you'll be fine,
I don't use "Hot fixes" I wait for the full release via windows updates for less possible conflicts and possible issues loading windows updates,
But If you don't have a antimalware suite you might consider using another browser,
But on another note I saw a date on the article dating back to 2/11/14 so this might be a older hot fix ?
So be sure to Check for Windows updates to make sure you have all available updates installed this was also one of the recommended suggestions,

I have MBAM free version up to date and Avast free version up to date except the program, still on v8 and IE9 updated to 2909921.

I think I'm careful about where I go & am not a helter-skelter clicker but some of the newer threats are still spookie.
Have thought about going with IE11 but I see lots of problem posts here.

For the most part ie10 is more like ie9 and a better choice to upgrade to,
I myself am using ie10 again,

I have no problem with IE9. What I was getting at is that this new "Snowman" or whatever they're calling it targets IE9 & IE10 but not IE11 so they suggest either getting away from IE or upping to 11.
