Hotmail attachment problems

Is this the right place to ask questions about hotmail issues?

When I type a new email, the options to insert attachments, office docs, photos etc is greyed out, meaning I cant attach anything.

What do I need to do please?

Excuse my ignorance if this doesnt answer your question but I believe im using IE8 and accessing hotmail via their website. Everything used to work properly, but today Ive noticed this problem. Im not aware of any changes made to my system.

Ok, managed to solve this one after reading through WindowsLive support site. Had to uninstall Microsoft Silverlight (didnt know I had it anyway) and then reinstall it. Problem solved!
