Okay so I just got this program called Transparent Screen Lock and you can run files when the program starts/locks and closes/unlocks. What I would like to do is create a script or something that changes my desktop background to an image when I click "lock" and another script to change the desktop image when I "unlock".
Is there a simple script or BAT file or something someone could make that does this???
I would like to be able to modify it myself so it is the picture I would like to be selected. So all I would do is change the file directory of the image used on the background in the BAT file/script.
Also to go with this program I would like to add a shortcut to this menu here:

Yeah but the thing is with this program it can actually turn off some of those things so wouldn't there be some registry key that I could add too?

After I read the features of TSL, I still have no idea what. exactly it does nor the purpose of it. Have you contacted its developers? I would think if it's turning off feature you don't want it too the software is buggy or there are some setting and options you are not aware of. Just some wild guessing from my limited knowledge.

I use it to lock my computer but I can still see the screen (great when scanning)... It allows you to turn off certain things when you lock your computer like shutdown, locking, logging off, changing password, task manager, etc...
What I would like to do is add a shortcut for the "Lock Now" exe file you click on to lock the computers screen into the menu I specified... I would name it "Lock Screen"... or TSL Lock. Something like that... But me adding a shortcut to that actually doesn't have to do with the program itself it has to do with the registry... It would be great as a feature in the program but it isn't... so yeah any ideas??? More clear now?

Well as well as Britton I ma left wondering is this the sort of program you really want? Because it looks like to me the company is targeting businesses more than individual users - I stand to be corrected.
I say that because a lot of the Lock stuff in it smacks of the sort of software that the government dept I work for put on the machines at work.
Now as for playing around in the registry I have a very limited knowledge of it and use it for changing stuff I know exactly how I want changed or removed. Now I think you would have to speak to a Microsoft programmer or someone who is VERY cluey to add in a reg entry thats going to do what I think you are trying to do.
Are you the sole user on this machine? or do you want just anyone who uses it not to be able to use it without your consent ie children?

I already have the program down pat and believe me it works. Actually I use it so my family doesn't touch the computer when I am scanning or defragging... It is quite useful! All in all though I don't need hep with the program itself I just mentioned it... I need help with the other things not the program itself.

OK, I understand a little better. To create a shortcut to TSL you can try this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/182161-shortcut-create-file-folder-drive-program-windows.html
I don't know how to make it change the desktop or have it shown in shut down options though. You can place the shortcut where you want it then right click it and choose Pin to Start Menu or Task bar if that's helpful.

Ohh... Yeah...I know that... I'd just like it to be pinned to the shutdown options menu... But anyways that wasn't my main concern of the post anyways... My main concern was the bat file that changes the desktop image.

They're done by policies, so the only registry key is that the policy is enabled. Then explorer.exe will see that the policy is enabled and won't display certain options, or will grey them out. You can't add options to it, you can only hide them.
