How 2 Install Win XP beside Win 7 ?

Good evening everyone,

Hope everyone is doing well on this Saturday. Anyway I'll get to the point. My objective this evening is to create a 20GB partition on my single laptop hard drive and install XP on it. At the moment I've got my Windows 7 Home Premium and as much as I love Win 7, there are still some old games that I like to play, that unfortunately won't work in 7.

I tried them with VMWARE, however it was a little slow and obviously VMWARE isn't as good as a physical installation.

Anyway, I'm fairly knowledgeable when it comes to these things, however just to be on the safe side, I don't want to accidentally delete my Windows 7 installation. It would be best to back up before I undertake this, which I may just do.

So my question is, have you got an easy step by step guide on how to install XP on a different partition ?

Again, better safe than sorry !
