Solved How are you using Windows 7?

i.e. dual boot, partition, virtual machine.

I am running the x86 version on a virtual machine(Virtualbox).
Gave it a 1.00 TB hard drive with 1.5 gb memory.

Currently dual boot RC x64 on main machine, as main OS, (Vista HP x86 as Backup OS for support reasons), have used Windows 7 as primary OS since 6801. Will get my XP mode running again soon, (again for support reasons )

Single boot x86 As a primary OS upgraded over Vista SP1, the transition was smooth with no major issues what so ever
(apart from the lack of windows position and size remembering thingie....... F#@*$#!!, and the baby blue toolbar & panels.... double F#@*$#!! )

There are things like game protection drivers that need addressed (starforce not compatible for instance) but that will come along one day, after all it is a RC.

Over all could not be happier with the outcome of 7.

Same here. As soon as the RC came out, I made the switch.

Main OS Win 7 build 7127 (clean install) with dummy harddrive 20GB.

Always install any dummy harddrive.

1. Damage harddrive from virus or some kind of botnet if you install bad ones.
2. Why put the risks with good harddrive on Main OS if things go wrong ?
3. When Win 7 RTM or OEM and Retail are out then ready good clean install fast harddrive out of box.

I have about 3 old harddrive spare lay around, I can play around with it and leave my other larger harddrive good working condition for storage keepers.

Currently back on Vista x86 SP1 and loving it due to sleep mode problems on my setup with Win 7. I have tried duel boot Vista x64 / Win 7 x64, Win 7 x86 as stand alone OS, and duel boot Vista x86 / Win 7 x86. Seven has a lot of potential and I will buy it when it goes retail but right now I`m waiting for SP2 for Vista.

Another machine is being tested for eccentric hardware/software. (64 bit also)
This is my net book, typical surfing/chatting/porning (32 bit).

All is going well, except on the second one when I can't get drivers for those random pieces of hardware.

dont usually boot into mac other than to impress and win some bets that there is a such thing as a tablet that could use a Mac OS...
have suse in another drive but havent used it for sometime...
