HOW can i blocked or bypass lan user who use my internet from my switc

hello every one..

I have DSL Connection In my home and I share with one switch. switch name is d-link 24ports...
I just want to know how I can block some lan ( not wifi ) user from my Router ...
I m using router TL-WR740N..
How I can block or how I can use mac filter for lan user only not wifi user....
if any one knows pls help me

Setting a MAC filter on a router will deny the particular user on both wired and wireless communication since the router will have no intelligence on where the user came from. The best option would be to apply a mac address filter on the switch itself however normal switches even managed ones don't support this option and this will block all communication. What is the exact make/model of your switch? Also, is it managed or unmanaged?

Looking on your router settings you can set an interent access control list to certain hosts but this will apply to all interfaces including LAN and wireless (Page 63 - 74) - http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/document/TL-WR740N_741ND_User_Guide.pdf

Please understand that LAN and Wireless are layer two devices (Data link) and can only be controlled by either complete block or allowing complete access. The only way of seperating them would be to setup VLANs to segment the broadcast domain but that is not a feature that your router supports

Other than this I do not know what else to suggest other than possibly disabling the Ethernet card on the machine that you wish to not have access to the switch or to shutdown any unused ports on the switch.
