How can I change default new folder characteristics

Everytime I open a new folder it happens to be optimised for images, I have to change manually to general items. How can I make that the default type will be general items? Thanks

New Folders inherit the same template as the folder that you created the New Folder in by default.

So new folder always have the template of the folder in which it is created?

By default yes. I'm not aware of a way to change that other than manually after creating the new folder.
