How can I download and install .NET FRAMEWORK which is free of virus

Thank you in advance for your explanation.I was given a tranlation software, LEAF.When I tried to install it , it asked me to install .NET FRAMEWORK 4. I downloaded it and saved it in my CD.Then I downloaded it from the CD and tried to install it.When I use Window 7 ultimate 32 bit , it said after some minutes of installing progress 'installation failed' .When I used other computers, I was again asked to install windows imaging component(wic).I downloaded it.But when I tried to install it, it repeatedly said,'installation failed'.In addition, I fear that I may download the.NETFRAMEWORK 4 or WIC whic has been infected by virus.
Would you explain for me please what the .NETFRAMEWORK 4 and WIC (windows imaging component) are and how I can download and install .NET FRAMEWORK and WIC which are free of virus ?

I'm not familiar with the LEAF translation software you mentioned. You might look into some of the other free translation tools that run in your browser and don't use NET Framework.
