In windows vista there was a fade in animation when glowing orb swithces to logon screen and there was a fade out animation when signing out or shutting down to black screen. In windows 7 the only fade-in and fade-out animation happens at the time where logon screen switches to desktop. Any ideas?

My apologies. Take a look at this-

Log On Screen - Change

Does that help?

Sorry for not replying in time. I forgot about my thread. And unfortunatly no, that guide changes background

of the logon screen.

Im exactly talking about this: YouTube Just look how it slowly fades in to the welcome screen. the same happens when you turn off your computer. it says "shutting down" and fades out to black screen. Windows 7 does not have that and Im trying to figure out how to bring that back

Wow, those computers in that youtube video must be super slow. I'm on my Vista system right now and when i log in, the transitions you're talking about are not noticeable. I also think my Win 7 transitions are much quicker.
