how can i know my laptop can run 64 bit windows?

As RogerR says, before i had Windows 7 i downloaded this Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, It must work for you, I found out from it that I'd need a custom install if i wanted to go with 64 bit but I have too much files to risk loosing.

So anyways, download the advisor, connect to the internet and see if its working or not.

yes..it is compaq presario..so?can i installed the 64 bit windows?
my processor is AMD athlon x2 dual core QL 65 2.10 GHz.memory is 4g..but since i installed 32 bit.it says only 2.75g usable

i have run the windows 7 upgrade advisor and the results is i CAN install 64 bit windows.But,in the ram section,it says that i installed only 2.8 g of RAM while my computer's properties says i installed 4g of ram but 2.75 usable...so??which one is coorect amount of ram i've installed??i'm quite sure i had installed 4g.
