How can I make my PC log-on, password-entry only?

Basically, if you did not understand the thread's title, I am having a recent 'what I'd call "problem"', with my PC. As I boot up my PC, my log-on usually immediately directs me to a screen, where it told me which account I was about to log-in onto, then all I'd have to do is enter the password and log-in. But recently, I have began log-in on a screen showing 1 icon: my account's name, to which I must first click, then type in my password. I am finding this very tedious, and would like to remove the first pointless screen; I am not too sure how though…

I'm not sure whether this is the relevant 'area' to post my problem, so please don't get too angry.

Thanks to anyone who can help me (:
