How can I set global fonts?

Windows has become too bloated with useless fonts and I would like to remove (as in wipe from the drive) all but a couple font families. This means I need to set the font family globally so even if a program calls font XYZ it will load the family I map instead.

Does anyone know how to do this or know of a utility to remap font calls so I can rid this system of the font bloat?

Thanks - been there but that's not what I need (it only hides font families). I want to actually map all font calls for the dozens of junk fonts that Windows 7 (and many applications) install and map them to, say, Ariel or Times New Roman ONLY (or a unicode equivelant) and then delete everything else. As an example, in a word processor program one can map font sets to whatever the author desire. Same thing with browsers - I only show two types of fonts that I choose - forget what the advertising department wants.
