Use the setup.exe in the Sources folder of the .iso, this gives you option to custom install.

When you install most any program if you chose the Custom Install option it will give you the option of changing the install location, From C to any other drive letter. Best thing to do is just change the Drive letter and leave the rest of the Path the same.
So If the program install location defaults to C:\Program Files\Name of Program Just Highlight the letter C and change it to D or whatever you want.

There is a registry entry to change the Default install location but just changing the drive letter work just as well.

Install your programs to C. They write registry keys which integrate themselves into the OS until uninstalled, so they should be part of it and not strewn across other drives which might get deleted causing program loss.

There is just no reason to install to another drive.

Simple answer is to have programs on another drive then the C drive. I install very few programs to the C drive and have always installed them to the D drive. Nothing wrong in doing that.

Yes there is, you can`t make a proper disk image and you have to reinstall all your programs again.

If you install very few programs, what`s the point of putting them on another drive ?
