How do I connect ACER ASPIRE 5336 Laptop to SHARP LC_32SH13 LCD TV

Hello
Im trying to setup laptop to play DVDs, and use occasionally presentations, through this SHARP LCD TV...both of which have HDMI ports.

I have attempted to setup via Control Panel >> Display >> Multiple Monitors...but to no avail as yet.

My system information is as follows:

ACER ASPIRE 5336
WIN 7 HOME PREMIUM 64-BIT SP1
INTEL CELERON T3500
4 Gb RAM (DDR3)
500 Gb H/D (HITACHI HTS 545)
REALTEK AUDIO (HD)
GENERIC ACER PnP MONITOR (1366 x 738 @ 60HZ)
INTEL MOBILE 4 SERIES EXPRESS CHIPSET FAMILY (ACER INC)

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
Use Winkey + P and see if Duplicate display is selected,
Also make sure the t.v. is set on the HDMI port your connected to,

If no joy right click your desktop,
Work your way through these settings,
